College Bowl Details:
Dan joined the University of Missouri-Columbia College Bowl team during his Freshman Year,
competing in just one weekend event (due to scheduling conflicts and financial constraints).  In his 2
tournaments, both at the University of Missouri-Rolla on the same weekend, he and his team met with
mixed success.  In the first, a standard academic tournament, Dan's team performed with mediocrity and
Dan himself answer only a precious few questions.  However, in the so-called FOGHAT Tournament,
which was open to regular College Bowl teams as well as Alumni Teams, MU placed 2nd (and first among
actual College Bowl teams.  This tournament consisted of questions which tended less toward traditional
academic subjects and more toward popular culture and trivia.  In this second tournament, Dan scored
quite a few points, good for the second-highest score on his team, and nearly earned an individual medal.
Dan did not join the team in the two years that followed, but plans a return to competition for the
2004-2005 academic year.  More information as it becomes available.
