name, but Selwin Martin was a prominent member of the senior class,
so I have assumed this to have been the same person. This is purely
conjecture on my part, and should I find out different, I will change the
name accordingly.
NOTE: There were two players on the team the school's
superintendent referred to only as "Chap" and "Stogie" in the article
from which I draw these names. I believe these to be players already
listed on this roster, but they could be otherwise unmentioned ones.
My best guess is that "Stogie" was Stovall's nickname, but I would not
even want to venture a guess as to the identity of "Chap".
